I have been practicing trackstands (on a safe side street) but I haven't worked it out yet. I come to a stop, turn the wheel and jockey the crank back and fourth, putting pressure on both pedals simultaneously....maybe one day I'll just 'get it'. Whats a kilo start?

Pat Moffat Tempe, AZ Where NOBODY does kilo starts, because nobody knows what he heck they are.

"When blind folded, riders have no idea about the length of their cranks" . I experienced the discovery of unusual crank lengths twice, both on used bike purchases. Just jumped on after adjusting and oiling and couldn't tell what felt soooooooo different. It was those 172.5's!!! I'm a 170 (on the road) man. Took about 6 strokes to tell something was up. Another 4 to figure it out.

John T.Pergolizzi San Diego, Ca. still doing trackstands at the lights and kilo starts after all these years..
