Roman,

Pogliaghis are not silver brazed. Most likely never were. When I was young I used to hear stories about a technique used by Masi involving "silver butter", which is silver suspended in brazing flux sort of. Masi never used this technique, but it was a rumor I believed for a long time. Finally, while working at Masi in the 70's I was told that was never the case. Very few frames built in Europe were ever brazed with silver. It seems to be more of an American thing and only amongst smaller producers. Small producers worldwide still seem to favor this choice.
