Subject: [CR]Track Chain

In keeping with our list-meister's reminder to stay on topic, I thought I'd ask a very specific on-topic question. I have actually been attempting to access the archives this morning, but have, so far, been unsuccessful. (Anyone else having a similar problem?)

Anyway, I have just finished up my Telavio track bike project this past weekend (it will make it's debut at the Cirque), but I still need to install a chain. Near as I can tell, Pino Morroni made the Telavio frames while in Italy, during the period around 1983, but maybe as late as '85. I've built up the frame with all NOS Campy SR Pista components, mostly from the same time frame. To round out the project, I've used 3ttt track stem and bars, Nisi Pista Speciale 200g rims, Clement Seta Pista tires and a Concor saddle.

What I'm wondering is what might be the most appropriate or common chain of the era, and if they are available. I'd be looking for NOS and prefer a bright plated chain of some sort. 1/8", of course. I may end up just using a new nickel-plated Sachs/Sedis chain, since I'm not a terrible stickler for "period-correct" chains, but since I've come this far, I thought I'd give it a shot. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Hopefully, I can finally get some pix on the CR Pino page, where there's been a box saying pictures of this bike are "coming soon" for at least a couple years!

Thanks -
