I'd take off my right arm before I'd replace the glorious Harden large flange hub on my '48 RRA with a dynohub... but British bikes must have suitable MOT lighting equipment of the period.
Has anyone seen ALLOY cycle lanterns?? I am sure I saw one of these offered on eBay sometime ago but never saw another or ads for them. These are the typical British '40s-50s battery (the obsolete type) lanterns but just made of alloy not the usual pressed sheet metal.
