Subject: [CR]CR Jersey shore ride and TT this weekend at Sandy Hook

Thanks to Stephen Cannavale for the heads up on this possible conflict. I just checked with the sponsoring bike shop. The main road for 3.5 miles of Sandy Hook Park will be closed during the time trial, but the bike path will be open for bike traffic, so the CR ride can proceed as planned, albeit with perhaps a bit more congestion from warming-up riders. The path is a nice double wide one, just put in this winter.

Even better, there is an "Eddy Merckx" class for riders going it without aero equipment, bars or wheels. Hopefully they will also be up on lugged steel Colnagos or DeRosas. Stephen, what time do you start? We may be able to take a break and watch some TT action by 'on topic' bikes near our turn around point. This also should mean almost no cars out at the end of the park, due to the road being closed for the TT in the middle of the pennisula! How's that for serendipity?

Weather report for Saturday: maybe an early sprinkle, with highs in the mid 50's.
