Subject: [CR]Apologies to Paul Brown was: MAFAC CENTERPULLS

It was pointed out to me by a friendly listmember that what Paul Brown probably intended to say is that during the first years of production, the forged Mafac arms were stamped "Mafac" (instead of "RACER"), rather than the the manufacturing method of the arms was stamping.

I am sorry I misread your post, Paul. I deleted the original mail, and I feel a public apology is better, anyhow, so I hope this isn't too far off topic. -- Jan Heine, Seattle Editor/Publisher Vintage Bicycle Quarterly http://www.mindspring.com/~heine/bikesite/bikesite/
