Duane wonders: snip<I'm wondering about a repainted frame I've got that has "SuperSpeciale" decals, when it looks like a "SuperLight" model to me... Original paint SuperSpeciale frames I've seen didn't have the diamond cut-outs in the in the lugs and fork crown, or the large slots cut in the BB shell.... or the drilled drop-outs that this frame has. Was there a late version of the SuperSpeciale that looked much like the SuperLight, or did the previous painter just apply whichever decals were in stock? Also, what colors were originally available on SuperLights (I have one that's a greenish tint silver)?> end snip
The second generation Super Speciale shared the SuperLight frame, but came in Mercedes Sea Foam Green. Ben Lawee loved that color and specified it. We told Super Speciale customers to contact their local Mercedes dealer for touch up. The first SuperLights were pearl white and later changed to a silver blue.
