Subject: [CR]She's red

I found her in a dark attic used and cast off I made a trade and took her home I had hubs, spokes and rims I laced them together and made her wheels round and true I bought a crank and shifters salvage from a peugeot by a buick stationwagon I put those on with pedals that I got trading a trinket or two My time for a snazzy seat I wrapped the bars with tape cork . . . red, white and blue The chips in the paint are in the usual place Just a few A couple from grit thrown up from the road A few from the chain slapping against the stay a few from wrenches slipping from greasy fumbly fingers Scars where wheels were taken off put back on in a hurry maybe a flat in the middle of a race She's red very red She screams "you can't catch me!" She's mine . . . loved, smooth and fast again.
