I can second this comment- I unearthed a late 70's 27" steel wheeled Gimondi lugged mixtie bike and was inspired for another project which of course is much more involved than I thought originally. The cockpit was sooooooo stretched out- it was way way too long for me. I couldn't believe this was designed around a typical shortish womans reach. There were Simplex derailluers and downtube shifters, and a SR randonneur drop handlebar on it with some ratty plastic handlebar tape, so I'm assuming that this is what came on it stock (it also had Balilla sidepull brakes and levers (hoods are still in good condition too)).
