Well I thought the point of the CR List was to share our biases (and therefore passion, knowledge and inquisitiveness) about lightweight bicycles. What's the point of being "even handed" when it comes to a passion or a hobby? That's boring. If your biases lead you to cause others harm, well that's something else, but if it causes you to extoll the virtues of Cyclo-Benelux derailleurs over anything Campagnolo ever made (go on.... someone!), we might learn something.

Tempests are indeed best confined to teapots and arcane passions such as ours. If anyone doubts we don't bring opinion and passion to this subject, I'll be pleased to share with you some of the deliciously ad hominem attacks members sent me after my latest pro-British bike diatribe!

My inclination as the weather gloriously has turned to spring cum summer is to take my biases on the path and put them to the test rather than debate them here. My favourite bike is invariably the one I happen to riding at the time.
