I know Kenistons from 1958 until the early 60's. They were in Victoria Road Romford Essex.

The owners (Peter and Alan Keniston I think) were mainly into mopeds and shopping/work bikes, but they had a separate small lightweight shop beside the main shop. It was managed by 'Mitch' Mitchell, who took frame orders and had them built , usually in a frame shop in Crow Lane Romford. I recall that some were built by (Vic?) Edwards there. There were very few 'stock' frames in the shop as the owners weren't willing to fund them.

Dying brain cells prevent me remembering more at the moment, but if someone on the list can jog my memory.... I used to live about 3 miles from the shop and had one of their frames new in 1960 and my brother ordered one soon after. Mine had the Kenistons transfers, but he chose 'P and A Lightweights' which were alternative transfers.
