Hi all, I have a brand new 2003 Mercian "King of Mercia" touring frameset for sale. It was built VERY similar to a Rivendell Atlantis Spec. The geometry is the same as an Atlantis, but I skipped the upsloping top tube because I don't like the look. The frame is made from Reynolds 531 Super Tourist tubing, which is no longer available. The frame has every braze-on known to man, and was built for long reach recessed brakes. I had a Stronglight Delta headset factory installed. 3 sets of water bottle bosses. 1" headtube extension. Color is white with gold lug lining.
I am selling this frame because I am not happy with the way the headtube lugs came out. The "points" of the headtube lugs when viewed directly from the front are slightly off. I have showed this to many people, some say they would never have seen this, others see it and feel as I do. This is strictly a very minor cosmetic nit pick.

To buy this frame from Mercian now that the prices have went up would run $850. A new Atlantis frame is now what? $1300? I'll sell for $500 shipped to the lower 48 states.
I'll also consider interesting trades of other nice large frames or bikes.
