I notice this mentioned every once in a while, about a bike that's fully chromed, even under the painted parts. People talk about how there paint chips easy because of this. Well in fact, it's not polished chrome under the paint. They dip the entire frame, but only polish out what needs to be. If you look under the paint it's a dull bronze finish that paint does stick to ( if prepped correctly). I've had almost all Italian frames with chrome somewhere on them, seat stays, chain stays, lugs, etc. Anyway with all the talk about crummy Italian paint in the 80s, I've never had a peeling problem. I was a pro painter for many many years, and found them fine. Now if there's anyone out there that needs the secret to making paint stick to anything smooth ( chrome, glass, etc.) with out scuffing, let me know.

Having bought a bike at the Cirque and sold none I have decided to sell my 3Rensho frame/fork and the new/old Masi will take it's place. The serial number is C-103, the C indicates that this was a show bike and the 103 puts it around 1988. The color is blue and it does have a few chips and scratches, but not a lot, and the decals are intact. Where there are chips the bike appears to be polished chrome so maybe it was fully chromed and polished prior to the sell to the original owner whom I bought it from. It was purchased in Japan in 1991. The frame and fork did list for $1,295 from Yellow Jersey, but are no longer available, so here is your chance to own a beautiful example of a 3Rensho Katana Pro. The frame measures 54.5 c-t seat tube, 54.5 c-c top tube, 99cm wheelbase and standover is 31 inches. You can view the bike at http://photos.yahoo.com/rauler83 in the 3Rensho folder. This is for the frame and fork only. Will sell and ship anywhere in the lower 48 for the first $500. Please reply off list.

Thanks and a big thank you to Dale for the great weekend. You have out done yourself.

Mark Poore who came back to 35 degrees and rain.
