Don, I happen to have the Phil tube container that housed my triple BB which I purchased from them in the late 70s for a Campy crank that was converted to a triple by Wheelsmith in Palo Alto. The Phil cardboard tube says "119mm for Campagnolo or similar cranks with triple chainrings and TA and Stronglight cranks with double chainrings".

Additionally, I just measured my '70s Campy triple BB (68-SS X 3), the one without the reverse spiral on the cups, and it is 122+mm long.

Ken Wehrenberg, Hermann, MO, sometimes SB... who's enjoying the new versus old discussion, but couldn't dream of going back to triples, (except on vintage riders) having been spoiled several years ago by microdrive doubles which are just now becoming quite fashionable for more than older boomers.
