Francophiles...

Imagine my shock! While pedaling along downtown "Yonge Street" on Sunday morning, I nearly twist my head off spotting a parking meter holding up an Alex Singer!

I almost never see quality classics in this city. Tons of Raleigh 3 speeds and bike boom bottom feeders, are the usual fare, so I had to stop, go back, and take a closer look.

Upon closer inspection: It's a 'racing' style bike, in bright purple paint, looking original, worn decals. Rusty chrome head lugs, fork crown and half rear stays. No braze ons whatsoever. The parts are/were mostly record, 151 boltcircle cranks, with a Rally rear der. Front derailleur was gone, had a single campy bar end shifter. Very worn brooks saddle was looking like it had a rough Saturday night (or two).

Cool bike. Mojo non plus ultra!!
