Old, well covered topic in the past, but I guess you missed it: Making ornate lugs on the order of fancy Hetchins-style ornateness. A stack of sheet metal is cut all at the same time for many copies. I guess "easy" is a relative term, but it sure beats cutting them one at a time. I didn't say anything about "tricking" someone, did I??? Yes, and back in the day (1940s England), it was a shortcut to mass produce. Lugless and lugged.
