An interesting sidebar to the LeMond/Taco Bell story is that Taco Bell had many thousands of water bottles made up, by Specialized, as giveaways for that promotion. Not long after they started handing them out, a small child managed to pull the nipple off one of the bottles and choked on it. Taco Bell stopped giving out the bottles and Specialized wound up with them. Lots of them.

I was a Specialized dealer at the time and my rep gave me 5 cases of them. He said to let him know if I ran out... I haven't seen any around in a while. maybe I'll give him a call.
