Subject: [CR]Naive parts question

All:

I recently obtained two Campagnolo Nouvo Record side pull brakes from the early 1980's. They are in good shape but the "springs" are snapped. How would one go about replacing them?

Also, the bike has a Campagnolo Nouvo Record crank (172.5 mm) but the left arm is cracked. Do I need to replace it with a Campy NR crank arm or will any 172.5 mm crank arm be compatible with the Campy bottom bracket.

I look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks

Robert Kaufmann
