When trying to match cottered cranks to cottered b.b. spindles,is there a rule of thumb that says, English b.b. cups=english cotters,french cups=french cotters,and is there such a thing as Italian cotters?Trying to put together a cottered setup for an english thread oldie,but have no idea if magistroni crank goes with stronglight spindle goes with chater lea goes with williams goes with nervar etc,etc,and rarely see these things sold as complete units. If anyone has a single ring cottered crank and matching b.b. with all the hardware for sale,please contact me off list.(English thread,not trashed but doesn't have to be showroom.Preferably '50s era ,but again,not essential.)
