I don't think this has anything to do with what Dale's response was about.

The "classic rendezvous" list often debates topics that are not related to how bikes ride, and you'll find that most responses on the list don't have anything to do with racing. I think you know this.

Dale's point was the it was "unworthy" for collecting purposes. (if I may be so bold as to speak for him, he certainly doessn't need me to defend his position)

Don't drag me into this discussion, as I haven't commented on how "worthy" or not these bikes are......choose for yourself.
