Jerry, Thanks for the information. And you do recall correctly: the Maserati brothers sold the auto company around 1947. I believe Citroen owned it in the early 70's before selling to DeTomaso in 1976, etc. But this all strays into the OT (and contentious slippery-slope argument of what were the interesting and worthy Masers and in whose opinion...) I was really hoping somebody would know who made the bikes, especially the better models... Maserati is in Modena, across town from that other little Italian car company, Ferrari. Any guesses as to who made the frames?

Malaguti was a bicycle racer in the 1930s, made bicycles, then later motor scooters. Does anybody on the list own a Malaguti bicycle?
