An attachment to Dennis' comment on old parts. After you have done the buff job. I learned this trick from an old bike shop owner. since "Pledge" is junk for furniture it has an alternative use... your bike. It is great for the paint finish as well as.. you guessed it aluminum. I live a block from the beach and what is great about the stuff is that it keeps a waxy film on the parts and prevents corrosion and keeps it shiny at the same time. Call me crazy but it works.

PS. Dennis I know about that sling and ding thing...
