Well, I'm afraid I don't have more gasoline for exactly the fire that is campagnolo super record calipers. However, I have been working on restoring 3 raleighs, same year (1974), same model (international), same size (23.5). I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to put together 3 identical grouppos for these three bikes.
I am struck at the amount of variances between the different versions of parts WITH THE SAME NAME. For example, I have about 4 types of nuovo record shifters, and i'm restricting myself to the early ones with the special external cable stop. It seems that different contract manufacturers built these beasties in different ways, and campy changed the design every year or two in some minor way. Maybe the parts that didn't work well were changed most often. If you count variations including how the name "Campagnolo" looked after being engraved on the lock washer, and what was on the thumb screws and behind the thumb screws there are probably 10 different nuovo record downtube shifters in total. From 3' away almost nobody can tell the difference.
So I'd be VERY VERY surprised if there were less than 10 different types of nuovo record and super record calipers... heheeee...
