My Colnago Oval CX (1983) has brakes mounted this way. The HH Racing Group (can't remember what the initials H H stand for...e-richie would know) out of Media, PA, builds road bikes like this. A friend has one and he related that HH has strong opinions why they should be like this. What would these reasons be? Were some bikes equipped like this even earlier than 1947?
