Thanks for the reply.

I was on the snail mailing list for 3rd Hand for a number of years, but they sent something out a couple of years ago saying they were closing. Are they back?

Right now I'd like to get a narrow 6sp freewheel 14-24 or 13-24, English thread, preferably NOS, or "gently" used.

Hi Doug..

Read your post. I've been buying a lot of stuff, not vintage, but stuff like bearings, cables, freewheels etc..from Third Hand Loose Screws. I've been very happy with the service. Pricing seems OK. Every once in a while they might be a dollar or two higher on a new chain or something, but I'll gladly give them the business because they seem to have stuff in stock and I get in about 2 days. As for vintage stuff...good luck. I've noticed that over the last 5 years I've been hard at the vintage bike thing the supplies have dried up. Just take a look at the growth rate of the list and you can figure there are just a lot more people looking for the stuff now.

If you're looking for stuff you might just post to the list, after all,, these are the folks who have this junk. :^)

PS..What are you looking for?
