Sad to see politics creep into CR postings, especially nasty, venomous, hateful ones. As for the question at hand. I believe ebay has done some damage here. I used to sell a lot of parts and bikes on ebay. Over time their posting prices have crept up and their policies have changed to favor them and not the seller who is their life blood. Posting and selling fees no longer allow you to casually post an item. The trick they play with reserve fees is a great example. I have been with ebay long enough to remember the days when there was no reserve fees. Now everytime you turn around there is a fee for this and a fee for that. These all creep up incrementally to the point where you have to watch what you post. Add to that the fact that ebay has been on a kick to change the way you post stuff almost every 6 months. Just when you get comfortable with the new method they change it. I don't have time to keep up learning some new program because some marketing genius thinks there is a better mouse trap. Again when I joined back in 97 it was simple, easy and quick to get a posting up with a 28k modem. Today it takes twice as long and cost 4 times more.
