I disagree Tom, when it spills onto the list, and its someone in an area I may consider a group ride with, it IS on topic, as far as my desire to ride with bike-minded folks is concerned. I'll think twice about planning to spend half my weekend on a ride with CR people...for all I know the same putz who'd spew that stuff online (whether we agree or not) could show up at a ride and prove to be a chatterbox that I have no interest in listening to for a coupla few hours. Whether such an experience is likely or not, isn't the point...I avoid that type of talk like the plague...ironically you can guess how pleased I was to receive YOUR note.
