Overtaken by Raymond Impanis (No.15) during the time trail, Andre Brule (No.72) and Jean Robic (No.89) received repeated warnings from the judge-commisaire, H. Boudard, to stop drafting drafting. Robic and Brule were each penalized five minutes each.
