substantial and very cool head badge that wrapped halfway around the head
tube. Sounds like the model that is referenced in the CR page under Sweden
with reference to it as a pro model. It might become "available" so we'll
keep our fingers crossed. Anyone have any more info on this particular
model? sAnyone have nay more period, Crescent also briefly offered a
stainless steel tubing Pro bike,

I once owned the very same type of bike you are referring to. Yes, it was
quite a looker. However geometry was such that toeclip and front wheel overlap
was not only possible, but also happened too frquently for me, especially when
going up hills---quite a bummer in fact. I guess if you live on the flats, it
would be a good rider, but I put this bike in the catagory of fun to look at,
but don't consider seriously riding it. Yes, I know that some Cresent bike was
ridden to the world championships sometime in the early 60s (or 50s), but I
can guarantee you that it wasn't this particular model. I guess Cresent bikes
are an "acquired" taste.
