More likely would be the builder of the Benotto team bikes that Moser had ridden on prior to 'earning' the right to bikes with his own name. The Benotto frames also had the diamond-shaped stays. It has been mentioned previously that this builder worked at/with/alongside De Rosa either before or during his Benotto team bike framebuilding stint.
