Subject: [CR]Finally finished building up my 1975 Woodrup Star Trophy model

Hi all,

I finally finished building up my 1975 Woodrup Star Trophy Model and took her for a spin. I built her up with a mixture of modern and period parts. The drivetrain is Shimano 600 EX ( early 80s) with Maillard hubs and a helicomatic freewheel. The handlebars are french from the early 80s from what I can gather and the brakes are the new mavics (couldn't resist the black color). Anyways, I took her for a spin and compared to my early 80's Allez the Woodrup has a stiffer frame and can be a little twitchy due to frame stiffness. The Woodrup is very responsive and likes to fly down hills. Well, that's my take on my Woodrup. Has anybody noticed anything else about the handling characters of their Star Trophy Models? I love the frame and I suspect I'll get used to the ride and want to ride nothing else.
