In reference to the long cage adaptation:
As perhaps there really (Rally?) isn't anything new under the sun, Spence Wolf, the man behind California's legendary Cupertino Bike Shop in the 50's ownward, for many years offered a homemade Campy Record/ Nuovo Record derailleur, called simply enough, the Wolf modification. It featured a long cage he had married to the standard derailleur body. He offered this as an option on all the bikes he sold, whether Cinelli or the French makes, for those seeking wide gearing. I don't believe it carried any markings, so some of you may have a very desirable piece of history, albeit that looks homemade. Ricardo Bulissimo, Verdi Nevada.
