Hi Walter, Sounds like a good price to me, but I use Custom Metal Finishing in Shelby Mi. (231) 861-7464, The guy who runs the shop is a bicycle collector, and you can trust him to give your bicycle parts the attention that they deserve. I send my chrome to him all the way from California. chris ioakimedes Fairfax california

stopped by a local chroming shop. they do all sorts of car parts, motorcycle bits, pretty much anything a gear-head could want chromed. says he's done literally hundreds of bicycle forks and knew what to do. quoted me $45 + 5% EPA hazardous waste disposal fee. seemed like a good price - i couldnt say "yes" fast enough. heck, i went ahead and gave him another fork to do @ the same time.

seem like a fair tariff for a fork?
