I have a (very) little information on Pike serial numbers, as I have copies of a couple pages from Stan's build log book that show the entry for my frame. The SN on mine is SP 8309. Mine was one of only five frames built in February of 83. Three of them were "stock" frames, including mine, and numbered SP 8308 and SP 8310 respectively. I believe that custom frames may have had a SN more like yours, with a two digit number and letters. I'll try and dig up the copies of the log and see if other custom frames are shown, but that won't be easy. Having just moved, everything still packed away. Also note that, even though my frame 8309 was built in 83, the 83 may not represent the year in all cases. Remember that Stan Pike died in November of 83, so he wasn't building frames in 89.
