Dear Mike, some years ago, while on holidays in the Peak District, I scanned an old cycle shop as is my habit, and upon the owner´s question what bikes I had I also mentioned my Gate. He asked me to wait a minute, and produced a Suntour Cyclone front der with a very well, not home made light alloy extension to the rear allowing this Cyclone to be used on a Gate. Sadly, the clip hinge on the extension is broken and needs the hand of someone who can weld some metal back on and then machine and/or file the hinge back in shape.
The whole thing being based on something Japanese, I just stashed it away in my Box and I wonder if Trevor Jarvis might not have been the original source of it.
