Hi re john Pavey, I am uncertain whether John actually ever made bicycles (ie with the welding torch). Hes was/is a fine fellow: he retired a few yrears ago (perhaps 10 yrs ) he was from the St Neots area. What he used to do was buy up quality trade stuff that wasnt distributed by the big distributors and sell them in the small ads in cycling weekly as well as run a small shop - I bought 10 1/8 inch chain sakae cranksets off him to convert for tandems, I think he was also responsible for bringing in Ozzo italian wet weather and winter gear which was/is really good kit...

I also think he may have brought in Viner frames at one time, and I know Mario Vaz used to spray for him... so the Paveys may well have been Viner badge engineered which if they were then they are a lot of bicycle as I own one and love mine!
