Agreed. Worthless link. What kind of forum not only won't allow one to view a page without registering but will also spam you with popups? Why not just describe what it is and post a link to a photo (hint: URL ends in .jpg) and save us all the bother? Kurt Sperry Bellingham WA

Folks,
I would like to push aside the bad link issue, funky URL, popups etc. and
take a gander at that SR Seatpost a little bit further.
Note that it appears to be just an "aero" C-record seat-post with fancy
pantographing that came in a SR box. Au contraire.
I have seen this type before. While i am not exactly sure when C-record
showed-up, (perhaps 86), I first saw this SR seatpost appear in 1984.
Obviously from the ebay posting, it appeared on Gerber bikes. I have also
seen it on top-end Colnago and Bianchi, 1984 models, with the rest of the bike
being "standard" SR.
However, the only thing I find "super-record" about it, is the seat cluster,
and that it was made by Campy.
Have others seen this "SR" seatpost before and perhaps know a better history
of it?
cheers-
