You can still get cloth rim tape over here in the UK. The beauty of this product is that it lasts, its universal one size fits all. Do any of the old timers remember the special Constrictor rim tape that you had to use on Asp rims? Shaped a bit like a cloth wick. Those old Asp rims could be buggers for internal punctures (spokes) if the correct tape was not used.
