Subject: [CR]Campagnolo NR Triple Crankset Questions
Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 07:15:11 -0400

I recently picked up a genuine Campagnolo NR triple crankset. Some questions:

1. What year were they introduced to the market place? 2. What bcd is the small ring? 3. Why is the small ring (mine is a 36t Campagnolo) so clunky in it's design compared to Campagnolo's standard NR and SR pretty designs? 4. What is the smallest tooth ring that fits on the triple part; clearly there is enough 'meat' on my 36t that a smaller ring would fit? 5. Who makes smaller ring replacements and preferably more in line stylistically with the NR/SR profiles? 6. Were the triple cranks date coded like the standard double ring Strada cranksets? Both arms on mine do not have a date code but they have "Brev" hardware and a peg on the large (54t !) chainring.

Thanks in advance to all who reply,
