Are there any Raleigh experts out there who know the story about the takeover of Carlton and who can also shed some light on the Carlton frames that were produced thereafter. I'm particularly interested in the origins of the later Carltons and why frames produced at Ilkston still carried frame numbers beginning with WK for Worksop. When did the Carlton name end and were there two lines of bikes or one line badged Carlton for some markets and Raleigh for others?
