Merci Beacoup to all for advice. I tried JB 80 penetrating oil and a multi-national version of Joel's idea, "nickel + vise-grips." Instead of US nickel, I began with an old French 20 centimes coin and a current 1 Euro coin. Here are the results: *1 EURO COIN......Bent so that little metal center fell out of the brass/copperish frame. Dust Caps still in cranks. *1 20-Centimes Coin....Bent. Dust Caps Still in Cranks. *JEFFERSON NICKEL....Bent Dust Caps REMOVED!!! Must have been due to his stay in Paris. Scott Davis in St. Paul
