Lino Tempesta also built some of the early Guerciotti frames and I believe was an uncle to the Guerciotti brothers. I have a 1980 Tempesta. Always interesting to me to see how dropouts and fork tips, seatstay caps and the like are influenced by the early "mentor" for these makes. I haven't compared a Monte, Guerciotti and Tempesta, but I'm willing to bet they are similar. Recently, a couple of other listmembers and I were comparing dropout and fork tip treatment for a mid-70s Serotta and a mid-80s Columbine. They were close enough to make you think the same person did them, but I don't know whether or not Ben Serotta and John Murphy had a similar "link" in their training. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
