Subject: [CR]for sale raleigh gran sport and the frejus?

well I've made some recent aquisitions, mainly a raleigh pro and a early to mid 80's schwinn super sport with a full shimano 600 groupo. Because of this I've decided to thin out the heard a bit and so I'm offering these up to the group before they make they're way to ebay.

First, a 70's raleigh gran sport. zeus dropouts, raleigh pro style lugs. I bought it as just a frame, it was all white with no decals when I bought it, but did have the headbadge. I built it up and it's sort of a franken bike now. Shimano crane rear derailleur, shimano front, and downtube shifters. a set of trek matrix wheels (dark annodized) with a maillard 700 front hub and a helicomatic in the rear, 6 speed. Nervar cranks, which appear to be original, shimano dura ace center pull brakes with dia compe aero levers. The bars are some modern black annodized, I forget the brand. Also, shimano adamas ax aero pedals. It's a fun bike, kinda looks like a messenger special. It's fun to ride around town or break it down for a restoration. It's a 23 1/2 inch frame, around 59, 60 cm. Paint has several nicks, chrome is great on stays and fork. Asking 200.00 plus shipping. email me for pics.

I'm considering selling the frejus tour de france I bought about a month ago, there were several posts about it so I'm sure most of you remember it. It's a late 50's very early 60's model, columbus tubing (the decal for which is early, red label), campagnolo turismo (gran sport) derailleurs. mavic sew up wheels with campy high flange hubs. frejus badged cranks and headset. Ambrosia bars and stem. Balilla quick release levers (hoods are in rough shape but holding together) with balilla alloy sidepulls. Frejus tensioned leather seat made by italia and needs to be oiled. I just cleaned up the bike, changed all the cables, and lubed the headset bearings. Frame is legnano green, 54 cm. There are scratches but decals (which have some hand painting) are in good shape. the chrome on the fork had some rust which I removed but it ate through parts of the chrome, I covered these rough spots with chrome paint, just these spots. It blends in very well, if you don't like it, it can be removed. The paint on the fork is good so I don't suggest having the fork re chromed. I haven't cleaned up the original wheels, mainly the spokes have to be cleaned. I've been using set of clincher 700c wheels, ambrosia elite 19 rims with ofmega hubs. thankfully the brakes have plently of reach for the 700c wheels. If you want these wheels as well you can have them for an additonal 50.00 plus additional shipping charges. I don't think you want me to squeeze two sets of wheels into one box. I'm thinking 600.00 plus shipping for this bike, email me offers, I have pics. I'm not a 100% I want to sell it but the right price will help convince me.

I think paypal would be best for these. My zip code is 60625 if you want to get a shipping quote. I find fedex to be the cheapest but I'll ship with whatever service you like and only charge you actual cost.
