e-Richie,

Not owning any of the special tools, I really wasn't sure whether that was true and that is why I didn't raise a big stink. The MAJOR bummer in my case was that I had just bought the frameset, but not the headset. Seller (on C-R) had requested that I send the race back since she needed it. So I got the pleasure of sending her an e-mail saying it was functional but hideous and she probably didn't want it back :^( Oh well, life goes on...

Doug

P.S. The mechanic was only slightly apologetic and didn't really accept any responsibility for messing up the race (from my perspective).
