Jerry, That's why all the shops I visited in Europe (I would say about 25) had chains hanging from the ceiling with hooks on the ends to hold a bicycle. They only used the workstand when really necessary and there seemed to be fewer workstands per shop than there are in the US. Of course, that was 20 years ago... and then there was the shop in the Haugue which had some complicated pulley arrangement and a motor which lifted the bike VERY slowly. (Apparently, they also worked on mopeds.) Anyway, it gave me a few extra minutes to chat with the mechanic. Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
