a friend of mine told me about this about two years ago, and it worked then. i couldn't do it, but she could (and did right in front of me) and i thought it was some doctored lock to make me look like an idiot. i'll have to call her and apologize; those video clips have definitely convinced me.

regardless of how long people have known about this trick, it's going to happen a lot more now that the info is all over the internet, so thanks for the heads up.
