Subject: [CR]John Deere Bicycle

Apologies to anyone on the CR if this posting is not deemed appropriate, but I received the email below from David Palan this A.M. seeking any information on John Deere Bicycles. Since I nothing of this bicycle, I was wondering if any of the CR Members might be willing to help out David.

Thank you, Peter Naiman Boston, MA ................................................................... Mr Naiman,

My name is David Palan, I am a friend of Richie Becker and he suggested you as a possible resource for a bicycle question that I have.

I've come across a bicycle frame that I can't seem to find out much about. It is a child's frame, and is labeled as a 'John Deere.' The color is --not surprisingly-- John Deere yellow, it has a John Deere head-tube badge and the John Deere name on the top-tube.

In an effort to find out more, I e-mailed John Deere and they replied that yes that they once made frames, but could tell me no more about them.

Can you tell me anything more?

Thanks in advance,

David
