Used....to....collect....up....until....the....fire. But still collecting a little, little bit.

Maybe when I'm back in the States where it's somewhat harder to find certain items, it's no fun when this guy says hey I have some stuff in the garage. Slip in there, kick open a box and there's 60 pairs of Campagnolo 3 piece hubs staring you in the face. A guy pulls out a box and say's what about these Brooks key hole saddles, yanks out another box and there's narrow railed Brooks Campagnolo saddles, all this takes away the pop of collecting. I guess you can call it collecting if I put one aside and sell off the rest.

Then there's the guy that says he has loads of Campagnolo steel cottered BBs, I don't think you want these because there no cranksets available. What about the crazy couple in Southern France, you want a Legnano frameset! There have your choice 50 plus 531 framesets to choose from...............I've been wanting an 70s / 80s model for some time, now I was looking at 50 pieces.

I got a nice little stash of collectables.....Here's a small but somewhat collectable item 1st Generation Campagnolo retrofriction gear levers...With the older recessed lettering. One of those items not listed in any of the catalogs. At least I'm not able to find it listed anywhere with Campagnolo. I would think it would have been listed between.....n.18 .........and........18 bis........But it's not?....Maybe I'll list it on ebay with a high reserve only to see what it might be worth? It's a crap shoot.

The business of investing and selling has made it easy for me to collect the things I desire to collect.

BC Baron C.................And the gang!! Renaissance cycles, Eindhoven Holland......Just scored and replaced an early 70 Colnago that was lost in the fire. Collecting again..........I wouldn't call it that............But then again maybe.
