I've generally had good luck with my Dura Ace parts as far as durability and function, but I know Steve Maasland had some 1st generation hubs whose bearings became toast in a very short time. This makes me nervous about the three sets of oil clip Dura Ace wheels I have now, but so far so good.
What has been the lists experience with the durability of early Dura Ace wheel bearings? Where there a particular year or model that didn't hold up?
