It seems that more and more people are coming out of the closet with their lust for good Japanese parts. Those SR 2 bolt posts came in a Deluxe and a Royale...they were nearly identical except the Royale looked like someone took a high speed polisher and compound and smoothed out all of the parts. Beautiful. I have a near NOS (take-off) in a 27 mm...I would love to trade for same in a 27.2.

Any of the Grande Compe brakes were great stoppers and not bad looking. The one part I haven't seen on the wish lists are the Nitto Pearl Stems...hmmmm.

If we were going to make a best value 70's bike however, there was no need to spend the money on the Cyclone when a VX worked just as well. Hell it would be hard to build up any Suntour/Diacompe/Nitto/SR bike that was not good value.
